In addition, she has been a a panelist at the New York Comic Con and will be speaking at SXSW EDU in 2020.
Green's presentation offers a safe space to start the conversation about feelings. From loneliness to confusion to worry, Andi uses her own experiences as a springboard for students to start addressing and embracing their own emotions. Green's visit includes a reading from one of her WorryWoo storybooks, a Q/A about the "emotional" experience of writing a children's book and a draw a Woos session with the audience. By the end of the program teachers and students will start identifying feelings in a positive and interactive way. When students can address their own feelings and empathize with others, the school climate can change to a more positive environment.
Andi is dedicated to bringing social emotional learning to as many venues as possible. From schools to libraries to bookstores she wants to make sure every child is given the opportunity to embrace their feelings.
